Located in Ocala, the Land Bridge Trailhead provides access to the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway as well as several other trails. Winding through beautiful forest scenery, it’s popular with mountain bikers, hikers, and equestrians.

The Land Bridge Trailhead offers trails for mountain biking, hiking and horse back riding. It connects to the paved Cross Florida Greenway trail and is the closest trailhead to the land bridge, roughly 1.4 miles away.

The trailhead offers a bike wash, potable water, and a public work stand.

There are a few picnic tables available for use. There are no grills at this location.

Completed in 2000, the land bridge was the first in the country. At 52 feet wide and 200 feet long, it allows for safe passage across I-75.

There is a designated area reserved exclusively for horse trailer parking. It is unpaved, well-shaded, and provides mounting steps, tie-out posts, water, and access to the carriage trail.

You can find the restroom situated in-between the two paved parking lots.

Cactus Jack’s offers equestrian trail rides and farm tours.

Leashed dogs are welcome at the Land Bridge Trailhead. There are no waste stations, so be sure to bring along baggies for cleaning up after your pup.
